I would love to share this goodness along with you. Below is a list of Christian worship songs that will bring peace to your heart and will benefit your walk with God. Continue reading on for more.
1. I Surrender by Hillsong Worship
This is a great song to listen to if you’re ever feeling overwhelmed and need a reminder to give all of your burdens to the Lord. I highly recommend listening to this specific version linked above with earbuds. It’s a slow/medium-paced song that starts out quiet but then progresses into a contagious on-fire passion for God.
The above link is an 8D version, which means if you’re listening to it with earbuds, the music will shift back and forth from the right side of your head to the left, which makes your listening experience 10 times better.
2. My Soul Longs For You (feat. David Brymer) by Misty Edwards
There are some Christian songs that help us express our hunger and need for God, and this is definitely one of them. In this song, the lyrics and instrumentals are orchestrated together in a way that captures our reliance on God perfectly. If you want to be reminded in your need for Him, this is the song for you.
3. Great Is The Lord by Housefires
The acoustic version of this is what gives me the most peace. Even in the middle of a busy day it never ceases to put a smile on my face. This worship song gives authentic praise and adoration to our Sovereign Lord. It acknowledges His majesty and splendor and sings about how He is worthy of all praise.
4. Beautiful Exchange by Hillsong Worship
The absolute first thing that comes to my mind when I listen to this is the galaxy and I reflect on how we’re a central part of God’s beautiful and intricately made creation. This song audibly illustrates what Jesus did for us on that cross through the lyrics sung and the instrumentals that weave through those lyrics. It is also a great worship song if you’re seeking to fix your focus on His Holiness.
5. Here As In Heaven by Elevation Worship
This song is a great one when you want to just do nothing but sit and let Him fill your cup with His love. The theme here is mainly about bringing Heaven down on earth and knowing that the Spirit of the Lord is in us.
This song is also sort of like a prayer to Him asking for His presence. It’s written in a way that makes it seem like the songwriter is personally inviting the listener to join them in worshipping God.
6. Have It All by Bethel Music
The title mainly speaks for itself. This is another one of my favorite worship songs to listen to almost every day. This worship song is definitely one to listen to when you’re needing to lay down all of your burdens before God. It’s about surrendering all of your heart to Him who surrendered everything for us.
7. Prince Of Peace by Hillsong United
There’s a regular version of this, and there is also an acoustic version. I would highly recommend the acoustic version more if you’re needing to step away from everyday life and soak in His peace. This worship song gives me a fresh perspective on what it means to receive the mercy from God that I don’t deserve.
8. Peace By Bethel Music
Here is another great peace-themed worship song. This song is good for when you need time to stop, breathe, and focus on the truth of His Word instead of the lies of Satan and the flesh. The main theme made in this song is about His peace that is beyond our understanding.
9. Let It Rain by Jesus Culture
This song is awesome if you simply want to soak in the presence of God and sit in adoration at His feet. It encourages you to enjoy His goodness and praise him for his perfect character. It sings about opening up the flood gates of Heaven and letting it raining down on us.
10. Worthy Of It All by David Brymer
Here is a simple, yet genuine worship song that gives reverence to our Lord. From beginning to end this song gives praise and glory to Jesus. I love this one because it lays aside all of the stuff going on with us, and instead acknowledges how worthy He is. It shifts our focus back on Jesus, which is the best thing you can do when you are struggling.
11. Peter by Te Rautini (AKA Link from New Zealand)
Here’s my absolute top favorite Christian song of all. Te Rautini, (another name for them is “Link”) is a great worship artist originating in New Zealand, which explains the unfamiliar name. This song is written kind of like a story.
It first musically orchestrates Peter trusting Jesus as he steps out to walk on the water. Second, it moves to when he starts sinking due to doubt. Lastly it surrounds the beautiful moment when Jesus reaches out to him in love. I adore this song because it’s gentle, personable, and unique. It gives you that sweet and gentle reminder of His faithfulness and mercy.
12. Make Room By The Church Will Sing
Here’s another song centered around the theme of surrendering to God. This is an inspiring worship song to listen to that’s about laying aside our own ways and making room in our hearts to do things His way. This is a great worship song for meditating on what it means to lay aside your pride, worries, doubts, etc. and make space for Him to move.
13. Lift You High by Housefires (feat. Kirby Kaple + David Bowe)
This is a great and powerful worship song that’s centered on reverence and adoration for the Lord. This song will fill your heart with swelled gratitude and love for Him. You’ll want to do nothing but give Him praise and glory when listening to this.
14. Stay And Wait By Hillsong United
This Christian worship song acknowledges who it was that rescued us, carried our sin and shame. It’s centered on staying and holding fast to His word and keeping our eyes fixed on Him. This serves as a reminder that it’s Jesus who is our redeemer. This is a worship song I would recommend in pointing your heart back on Him.
15. Kia Kaha By Te Rautini (AKA Link from New Zealand)
This is another song by Link originating in New Zealand. The main lyrics for this song are, “Kia Kaha, Kia Māia, Kia Manawanui” which means be strong, be steadfast, be willing. This song is so humbling and is one of my go to’s when I need reminders to trust His way and giving all of life’s circumstances into His hands.
