The world is filled with chaos. Every news station is reporting on stories about death, natural disasters, or worldwide pandemics. Yet, in the midst of the chaos, we can find peace from the Lord.
God longs for His children to have peace. He does not want us to be filled with fear when we look around at the world. No matter what happens in the days to come, we can find peace in the Lord. We can trust Him. We do not need to fear what the future holds. Our security is found in Jesus and knowing Him.

O God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference; living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as a pathway to peace; taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that You will make all things right if I surrender to Your will; so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me show love, Where there is injury, pardon, Where there is doubt, faith, Where there is despair, hope, Where there is darkness, light, Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console. Not so much to be understood as to understand. Not so much to be loved, as to love; For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, It is in dying that we awake to eternal life.
10. Prayer From Orin L. Crain
Slow me down, Lord! Ease the pounding of my heart by the quieting of my mind. Steady my harried pace with a vision of the eternal reach of time.
Give me, amidst the confusions of my day, the calmness of the everlasting hills. Break the tensions of my nerves with the soothing music of the singing streams that live in my memory.

Remind me each day that the race is not always won by the swift; that there is more to life than increasing its speed.
Let me look upward into the branches of the towering oak and know that it grew great and strong because it grew slowly and well.
