For this list, I’ve jotted down the best and most unique Christian TV shows that inspire you to love like Jesus loved and relax knowing that what you’re watching is appropriate for the whole family.
First up on the list is The Chosen.
1. The Chosen
I cannot recommend The Chosen enough. Each episode left me either crying or dancing for joy at how good Jesus is, and it’s the perfect show to watch with your family, friends, or even unbelievers.
The Chosen is all about the life of Jesus and tells his stories through the relationships in his life and ministry. Each episode shows Jesus’ raw and real humanity and makes you realize just how much Jesus gave up for us all.
Another cool thing about The Chosen is that it is the largest Crowdfunded tv show in history, which goes to show how God is using it to move people all across the world.

2. Ties That Bind
Ties That Bind is a detective TV show that follows the story of Allison McLean, a police detective who has to juggle her complicated job as well as family life.
This show accurately depicts the triumphs and challenges of the American family and tells a story of forgiveness and purpose. It is engaging for the whole family and will make you wish that there were more TV shows like Ties That Bind out there.

3. Duck Dynasty
Duck Dynasty is a hilarious and uplifting reality TV show about the Robertson family, their family business, and their highs and lows through life.

Tetelestai is the Aramaic word for “It is finished” which is the last phrase Jesus spoke before dying on the cross.
From the name alone, you can tell that this show takes the audience through not only Jesus’ life and the story of the Bible, but the meaning and purpose behind it.
In this miniseries, you’ll learn more about God’s plan from creation to the cross and how it was all for love.

Other than unrealistic hairdos, The Bible is a great miniseries that ties God’s word and visual representation together well.
From Genesis all the way up to Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, The Bible is a great thing to start with if you’re new to Christianity.

The Top Christian TV Shows For Kids
After searching high and low for children’s Christian tv shows, I could only find a handful of decent shows, but the best one by far is Little House on the Prairie.
1. Little House On The Prairie
I have nothing but warm childhood memories from watching Little House on the Prairie with my family when I was a kid.
This series has been engaging audiences from the 1970s to the 1990s and takes you through Laura Ingalls Wilder’s family, life, and faith.
Set in the 1870s, Little House on the Prairie is full of heartwarming, relatable stories and is entertaining for all ages. You can watch it on Amazon Prime or buy the series on Amazon here.
2. Malibu Dan
Malibu Dan is a funny and amusing children’s sitcom. It follows Dan’s journey through faith and humor as he navigates being a dad, husband, and TV host.
With whimsical characters and good values, Malibu Dan makes a great substitute for the mindless TV shows you’ll find everywhere else.

3. Veggie Tales And Veggie Tales In The House
If you haven’t heard of Veggie Tales, it’s a cute and funny kids series that inspires kids to learn more about the Bible and about vegetables.
The older version is what most people have seen, but Netflix has also come out with a newer version called Veggie Tales in the House, which follows the same characters and teaches kids good, godly values.
