I have attended many Christian conferences over the years. My favorite part about being at a conference is seeing the miraculous ways God moves among the people. There truly is nothing like worshiping together with thousands of other believers. These events have helped me to feel connected to the body of Christ and be unified with my fellow brother and sisters in Christ.
Christian prayer conferences are an opportunity for you to be encouraged as you pray alongside many fellow believers. Here are 4 conferences to consider attending.
1. PrayerFEST
PrayerFEST is an annual prayer conference in Alabama during the summertime. Thousands of people have attended their events. They are passionate about seeing revival through prayer.
What is the event like? On their website, they state, “In an atmosphere of passionate worship, fervent praying, and powerful preaching, unique expressions of the Holy Spirit are displayed that lead to an encounter with God.” You can read more about the conference here.
Reasons to Attend
3 reasons you should attend this event include:
- It’s a time set apart to pray with fellow believers

This one-day event gives you the opportunity to join with a fellow group of believers in a day of prayer. They have people praying before the conference and expecting God to show up in a powerful way. They ask people who are attending to begin praying before the conference to ask God to move in a mighty way during the day of prayer. They also offer book recommendations to read before the conference on their website as well.

While the theme of the events changes year to year, they always include prayer, worship, and teachings. The worship is performed live by Bethel Worship.

My Experience at Colour Conference
In the springtime of 2018, I took a girls trip with my cousins and aunt to attend the Colour Conference in Los Angeles, California. The theme was focused on Proverb’s 31 and the line in the passage which reads, “She is like a trading ship, that sails to faraway places and brings back exotic surprises.” Bobbie Houston taught a session about this phrase and what it looks like to live a Proverb’s 31 life.
I would highly recommend attending a colour conference if you have the opportunity. I loved hearing the special speakers and was encouraged while worshipping with thousands of other women. It was a time for me to learn more about what being a woman of God looks like and how I can step into that role.
Hillsong does a wonderful job with their Colour conference. They create space and time for you to connect with God and seek Him. They also show how important it is for sisters in Christ to be connected and how each one of us is valuable.
Each one of the conferences listed above would be worth your time to attend. Thankfully, even if you are unable to attend, Bethel and Hillsong have TV stations so you could experience the conferences wherever you are at.
Although not each of these conferences are specifically a prayer conference, they all incorporate prayer. Attending a Christian conference is an excellent way to connect with fellow believers and to be uplifted and encouraged through live music, teachings, and times of prayer.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
