Anxiety is becoming a more common feeling in our world, and we can sometimes allow it to take over our lives. In order to prevent that there are quite a few books out there that can help us learn more about anxiety and Christianity, as well as help us to better manage our anxieties as Christians.
I have not read all of the books listed below, but through my research, I discovered that these are the best books to help Christians better understand cope with their anxiety.
Whether your a teen, Mom, Dad, woman, man, new to anxiety, or experience it daily there is a book on this list for you.
1) A Heart Set Free by Christina Fox
Sometimes when experiencing our anxiety we keep ourselves incredibly busy in order to distract ourselves, but what happens when we go to God with our anxieties instead? Christina Fox helps the reader discover this answer by walking them through the Psalms of Lament.

In this 31 day devotional Pastor Paul Tautges uses the gives you daily items to do as well as readings to help you combat your daily fear and worries. Reading this book helps you feel understood, and to feel God’s peace in your daily life.

Does it feel like your anxiety is a constant in your life and like it keeps creeping its head through the door? In this book, Max Lucado walks you through how not let your anxiety rule your life and walks through Philippians 4:6-7.

4) How to Overcome Worry: Experiencing the Peace of God in Every Situation by Dr. Winfred Neely
In this book, Dr. Winfred Neely discusses the differences between concern and worry, as well as provides a biblical plan of action to help reduce your fear and anxiety. Readers have said that this a great book and relates to their daily lives.

5) Overcoming Fear, Worry, and Anxiety: Becoming a Woman of Faith and Confidence by Elyse M. Fitzpatrick
Elyse Fitzpatricks’ book is geared to moms and women who are feeling overwhelmed by the daily issues they encounter and provides everyday examples to help comfort the reader. This book will point you straight to God’s word and give you a clearer understanding of your anxiety.

6) Rhythms of Renewal: Trading Stress and Anxiety for a Life of Peace and Purpose by Rebekah Lyons
Are you wanting to seek peace and renewal from your anxiety? Rhythms of Renewal helps you find that by opening up about her struggles and focusing on four things: “Rest, restore, connect, and create”. This is a great book to do in a group because of the study questions included.
Rebekah Lyons has battled anxiety and depression herself and uses her own experiences to help others overcome these struggles.

This devotional geared towards women helps shifts your focus off of your stress and onto prayer.
